MMS Nordic has supplied a new process line based on a combination of membrane filtration technologies developed to improve the quality of wastewater.
The process involves pre-treatment of cleaned dairy wastewater with hollow-fiber UF membranes, followed by processing of hollow-fiber permeate in a dual-pass spiral-wound RO/RO polisher system.
The resulting cleaned water can be reused in the processing plant for various non-product contacting purposes, helping our customer reduce wastewater discharge as well as freshwater intake and support corporate sustainability goals.
The process was discussed at the recent IFC Water Congress in Herning Denmark. See the presentation here.
